We had a great time, and Haley and Jason were very patient as they experienced trying to listen to conference while entertaining three little girls. The girls actually did very well. We had some activities for them to work on, and they kept surprisingly quiet. (I'm sure Haley and Jason would disagree with that statement!)
It was fun to visit and to stay up late playing Mexican Train (this is a domino game. You have to try it! Thanks, Jennifer for introducing us to the game. We love it!). As the night got later and later, we got sillier and sillier. It's so fun to be able to play games while the kids sleep. Normally, if we get together with another couple, they have to leave early to get home for the babysitter. (Of course, that's really only theoretical, since we haven't gotten together with another couple for years. We really need to get out of our rut!)
We drove home Sunday and stopped at the Mount Timpanogos Temple to show the girls where we got married. We forgot that the grounds would be closed on Sunday, so we were only able to look through the gate. The girls were excited to see the temple anyway. We listened to Conference in the front seat with a mini radio while the girls watched a DVD in the back. It worked fairly well, but the little radio kept losing the signal, so I had to hold it up in the air. It was pretty silly. Eventually, we gave the girls headphones for the DVD and listened to Conference on the real radio. Why didn't we do that in the first place? Oh, well. You live, you learn, right? How fun to be in Utah where we can get Conference on TV, radio, or the internet. Pretty cool!
For those readers who are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also called the Mormon church), General Conference is a bi-annual world conference of our church. In April and October, members gather for five two-hour sessions to listen to instruction from Church leaders. General Conference is broadcast via satellite from the Conference Center at Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. My favorite thing about General Conference is that we get to hear from our prophet, Thomas S. Monson. We believe that the Lord gives revelation to a modern prophet today, just as He did in the Bible.

Thanks, Haley and Jason for letting us visit. We had a great time.
